Featured Bodybuilder
This week our featured Bodybuilder is NYCLeather. The following responses were provided by NYCLeather to our Questionnaire...
How long have you been bodybuilding?
25 years, but seriously bodybuilding, 2 years. Have made more progress in the last 2 than the first 23.
What motivated you to start training?
Something to do with college buddies in the evening. It was a change from studying. Then it was to grow bigger.
How often do you train?
Five, sometimes 6 days a week.
What is your usual training program?
Five day split. Chest/Back/Shoulders/Legs/Arms, with abs several of the days and cardio 3 or 4 times a week.
What is your favourite exercise?
Squats. You move heavy weights.
Do you train with a partner or by yourself?
I have 2 buddies I train with plus a trainer/coach a couple of times a week.
What do you think is your best feature (physique-wise)?
Chest.
What do you most enjoy about bodybuiding?
The pump.
Do you/have you/will you compete in bodybuilding competition?
Got serious way too late to compete.
Do you like to show off your hard earned physique, and if so, how?
Love to show off. Wear tank tops or go shirtless as much as possible.
What do you find most attractive in others?
A good sense of humor and intense focus on their goals at the gym.
Besides bodybuilding, what are you other interests?
Travel, particularly to France and Spain, good food (usually in modified form to keep the diet in control), good wine (max 2 glasses per week with dinner, except on vacation), a good history or biography, and classical music concerts.
Do you travel, and if so, what is your favourite destination?
This is a hard one. Paris or Barcelpna, depending on my mood.
Do you enjoy social events, and if so, which do you attend?
I enjoy dinner parties, so that's usually my cheat meal for the week. Otherwise, a good cocktail party is fun, since you get to chat with a lot of different people.
Other information about NYCLeather
I am surprised by how much you can accomplish, even in your 50's with the right combination of training, eating and supplements. It's great to have some guys my age and older who are inspirations to help me grow bigger.
